Earlier this month Cameroon was represented in the inaugural edition of the First Global Competition by 4 teenagers. “I believe that  creating  first global as a way to accelerate the ability of FIRST and its ideas about cooperation, competition and gracious professionalism can reach around the globe  as fast as possible is imperative for the next generation” says Dean Kamen, founder of FIRST GLOBAL . He continues “The global challenges of engineering need to be solved by the next generation of kids. It needs to be a  very very large group of the generation of kids around the world that have the tool sets, the vision to work together to solve those problems “ Mualah Fofang, Ando Ulrich,Hagbang Larissa & Ndeh Jordan pictured with coach Janet Fofang below represented Cameroon at First Global in the United States!   About First Global FIRST Global organizes a yearly international robotics challenge to ignite a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among the more than two billion youths across the world. The not-for-profit public charity provides the framework for an “olympics”-style robotics challenge where one team from every nation is invited to participate in a global robotics event that builds bridges between high school students with different backgrounds, languages, religions, and customs. She has been teaching electrical engineering for  over 15 years at the College D’enseignement Technique Industriel et Commercial. Janet who is the founder of K12  Tassah Academy in Yaounde has a strong dedication to youth education and is a strong supporter of girls.
